Although it doesn’t take much effort to make these red, white and blue dog popsicles. It does take time to allow each layer to freeze before you can create a new layer. Be patient! If not you will have layers that will blend together. Which is okay too!
- Blend the strawberries and water (or ice cubes) together in a blender and pour the mixture into the popsicle mold to create the first “red” layer. Freeze for an hour or until completely frozen.
- Make sure to put your popsicle stick in place.
- Pour the coconut milk into the popsicle mold to create the second “white” layer. Freeze for an hour or until completely frozen.
- Blend the blueberries and water (or ice cubes) together in the mixer and pour the mixture into the popsicle mold to create the third “blue” layer. Freeze for an hour or until completely frozen.

Removing the frozen dog popsicles can be challenging. You can easily remove the popsicles from the mould by running warm, not hot, water over the molds or alternatively dip the mold into a bowl of warm water for a few minutes.
Serving Size
How much of the frozen dog treats you give to your dog depends on the size of your dog. Although this popsicle is mostly made out of fresh fruits, it is a special treat that should be given in moderation. I suggest no more than one popsicle at a time for your large furry friend and perhaps half for smaller furry friends.
For smaller dogs, I recommend making these pupsicles in an ice cube tray so they are the perfect small size.
How To Store Summer Fruit Popsicles For Dogs
Store the dog popsicles in a freezer-safe airtight container or bag in the freezer for up to 3 months. Placing wax paper in between the frozen treats can help them from sticking together.
