Where Are The Best Places To Take Pictures In Atlanta?

Jackson Street Bridge

The show Walking Dead made this Instagrammable spot famous. I’m sure you can see why it’s a great place to take photos in Atlanta! The magnificent city view is worth putting this photoshoot location on the top of the list. Park on the side of the street by the houses. It is best to come early to avoid people or tours as this spot is a must-see for most people visiting Atlanta.

Atlanta Beltline Murals

The Atlanta Beltline is a trail that connects many parts of the city together. You can bike or walk the trail to find many of the best places to take photos in Atlanta. Along the trail, you will find murals painted by local artists. These make great photo opportunities! There is always a new mural and old murals are changed often. Not sure where to go for a specific mural? Check out this site to find the location of every mural. One of my favorite murals on the Beltline is the Balloon mural pictured above! Another fun photo-op are the Tiny Doors made by famous local artist, Karen Anderson. They are tiny art installations found around the city.

Krog Street Tunnel

You will find amazing graffiti work and murals at Krog Street Tunnel. It’s one of the best urban photoshoot locations in Atlanta.

Centennial Park

Olympians used Centennial Park during the summer Olympic games in 1996. Today it’s a multi-use green space with fantastic downtown city views. This area is great for engagement photos and urban street style photography. You will find the Fountain of Rings and the Ferris Wheel which are both great backdrops for your Instagram worthy photo.

Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park is another great place to take Instagram worthy photos located in Midtown, Atlanta. The views of the city are iconic at this location. There will be many couples taking engagement photos or wedding photos.

Ponce City Market

Ponce City Market is a large shopping and dining area located off the Atlanta Beltline. The main Ponce City Market building and restaurants do not allow dogs inside. But many shops located outside the main PCM building welcome dogs and restaurants have outdoor patio areas designated for dogs. There are murals and installations found in this area that make a great back drop for Instagram worthy photos in Atlanta.

Rainbow Crosswalk

The Rainbow Crosswalk is a busy intersection found at 10th & Piedmont Ave in the heart of the city’s LGBTQ community. Please use caution when taking photos with your dog as it is always busy.
