Easy Dog Cupcake Recipe: Peanut Butter And Bacon Pupcakes!

Celebrate your dog's birthday or gotcha day with this easy dog cupcake recipe. Made with bacon, peanut butter and dog friendly frosting, these pupcakes will be a hit with your dog!

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Muffin tin or Mini muffin tins
  • Frosting piping bag
  • Wire Rack
  • Cupcake Wrappers (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Oat Flour (or flour of choice)
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Bacon
  • 1 Egg

Peanut Butter Frosting

  • 1 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Greek Yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350F. Spray muffin tin with nonstick spray of choice.
  • In a bowl, whisk dry ingredients then add wet ingredients until well mixed.
  • Scoop batter evenly into prepared muffin tin.
  • Bake for 35 minute or until firm. Allow to cool.
  • To make the frosting, mix peanut butter and chilled greek yogurt in a bowl.
  • Pipe frosting on cooled dog cupcakes.
  • Add toppings of choice and let your pup enjoy!

Notes

  • This dog cupcake recipe is gluten free when using oat flour. But you can use any flour that you have in your pantry.
  • Peanut butter can be removed completely if your family has a nut allergy.
  • You can also remove the baking powder which will give you a denser cupcake. 
  • Use ingredients that don’t have added sugars or Xylitol.
  • Feel free to add any ingredients to get more health benefits such as carrots or blueberries.
  • As always, please consult your Veterinarian before feeding your dog new ingredients in case they have sensitive stomachs.
